Culture night in Vaxholm

On Friday October 11, we celebrate the 2024 Culture Night in Vaxholm. Take part in a program that ranges from concerts to workshops, lectures, film and theater. All events are free but some require a ticket. Pick up your ticket from September 30 at the Tourist Office (opens at 10.00) or the Library (opens at 13.00)

Learn more about Vaxholm's exciting history and take part in author visits, cultural café and exhibitions.

Come and taste the Kronängsskolan buffet. The students sell homemade coffee.

  • The Maritime History Museum displays its collection of pleasure boats


    You can see the first tourist sailing boat Pallakis, the Forslund boat Aavor, the small motorboat Dixie and much more.

    Where: Magasinet on Militärvägen 43 (on the eastern part of Rindö, next to Oscar-Fredriksborg)
    Time: 10.00 - 16.00

  • Author visit Ingrid Carlberg


    Ingrid Carlberg, author, journalist and Academy member, talks about her work on her latest book "The Puppets - A Story of the World as Political Theater".

  • Craft bag and tip round


    An afternoon with Unicorns and horses. Pick up your own craft bag that Lina Löfstrand has made and go on the tip round. All day there are fun crafts to do.

    Where: Vaxholm City Library, Children's Department
    Time: From 13.00 both Friday and Saturday

    Drop in, no ticket needed.
