By mountain bike on Bogesund

If you want to cycle through the beautiful nature of Bogesund Nature Reserve, we recommend that you try Askrikerundan. The red-marked trail of 5.5 km goes through light terrain, in coniferous forest and along water. If you come by car, it is best to park at Ellboda. If you are cycling from Vaxholm instead, you first cross the Pålsund Bridge, and continue the Blue Trail to the parking lot at Karlsudd, where you turn down towards Fridhemsbadet. There you take the bike trail along the water, about 2 km to Högbacka and Knäviken, where you meet Askrikerundan.

  • The Askrika Round

    Askrikerundan is a 5.5 km long hiking and cycling trail adapted for mountain biking Here you cycle along trails in light terrain. The trail is marked in red.

  • The Frösvik round

    One of the sections of the beautiful 7.1 km long hiking trail Frösviksrundan is also marked as a cycle path and adapted for mountain biking.

  • The large numbers round

    On Stortallsrundan you can cycle mountain bikes and mountain bikes on the stretch from Österhaga to just north of Västerhaga lighthouse. The cycle path is signposted in nature.

  • Dammstakärr round

    Dammstakärrsrundan is a 10.8 km orange-marked hiking trail in easy to medium terrain. The stretch from the parking lot south of Dammstakärret, up to Bogsättra and between Nibble and the parking lot north of Sundbyberg is a designated cycle path.

  • Blue Leden

    Parts of the 35 km long Blue Trail that runs from the port of Vaxholm, via Bogesundslandet to Domarudden in Österåker municipality are designated cycle paths for mountain biking.
