Traditional Midsummer celebrations

Welcome to join us for this year's Midsummer celebrations at the Camp!

Vaxholms Hembygdsförening organizes this year together with Destination Vaxholm again a traditional midsummer celebration with midsummer pole, dance, fiddlers and folk dance teams. Feel free to bring a picnic basket and flowers for a wreath.

Vaxholm restaurants and cafés serve midsummer food. We recommend Hamnkrogen, Waxholms Hotell and Vaxholms Hembygdsgårds café.

Program:
14.00 Join in and dress the midsummer pole
15.40 The pole's rings are carried in a parade from Söderhamnen to Lägret. Come along!
16.00 Pole raising, dancing with Waxholms folkdansgille and traditional ring games.

For those traveling by bus, the nearest stop is Vaxholm Church. During the day, extra departures are inserted from Danderyd Hospital to Vaxholm.
