Art exhibition - Ulla Parkdal

In May 1962 I finished four years of studies at Slöjdis, now HDK in Gothenburg and was trained as a textile artist. The first years I worked as a designer for the textile industry. February 28, 1968 Ulla Parkdal Textil was formed. I started weaving, both my own design and on behalf of colleagues. Carpets and other works today adorn many private homes and public environments and churches in Sweden.

In 2022, I wrote a book, which was published in December. The book is a source of inspiration for anyone, and is the story of my life, art and career. In "Weaving a Life" I tell in words and pictures how weaving and artistic creation is a strength in life's challenges.

I am now 85 years old and continue to weave. It is good for body, mind and soul!

In 2014 and 2019 I exhibited at Roddarhuset, it was so much fun, so now there will be an exhibition again!

There will be some new rolled rugs, pictures, weaves with linen and nettle fibers. I have also enjoyed weaving about 50 different towels in linen and cotton.
